The “Golden Egg” series was created over a span of ten years. It began in my studio in the Allgäu and was completed in my workspace in Maxvorstadt. The foundation is a wooden panel, onto which multiple layers of oil, automotive paint, resins, and more are applied in a high-low motion, repeatedly. It is refined with a layer of gold and my fairy dust—pure pigments that play with light and reflect the viewer as they pass by.
